Watering Hole

For the past two weeks there had been what looked like a little pond growing in my front yard. I loved it whenever I would go out to play or pee and would get thirsty that is the place I'd go. However every time I would drink from it my humans would yell at me and give me a no no flick on the nose. They would say things like " NO! don't drink that it's dirty." or " STOP! you have clean fresh water inside, why are you drinking that?" After a bit and a steady continuous growth from the "pond" one of them called a thing called the city.

These random people came the next day and put up these signs that said "STREET CLOSED" and started digging a huge hole that put me and my holes to shame. I was quite envious of their hole but at least mine are natural. I think they fixed something because my favorite watering hole is no longer there and I now have to drink from my bowl. They left their signs here and every once in a while I go and sit by them and stare and think back on what was the best watering hole of all time.
